Aid needy GCE A/L students

The GCE (Advanced Level) students at Mangalarama Maha Vidyalaya, Batticaloa do not have adequate facilities for higher education.

Four students who were successful at the 2009 examination failed to receive the aggregate marks to enter the university. So far only one student has gained entry.

Residents of Mangalagama fell victims to the cold-blooded terrorist attacks in the past.

A group of public-spirited persons, who are retired public servants have decided to help the poor students in supplementing their studies with private tuition. It has been estimated that Rs. 54,400 is needed to provide tuition for them.

Organisers request the public for their worthy contributions to be remitted as they wish to the students’ bank accounts as follows:

L. G. Anuranga Buddhika - A/C No. 6001042 Bank of Ceylon, Gonagolla, R. Gayan Sujith - A/C No. 2070059399, People’s Bank, Gonagolla, T. B. Dilani Sandya Kumari - A/C No. 10314445 NSB, Uhana, E. H. M. T. Lakmali Jayawardene - A/C No. 207086515-7 People’s Bank, Uhana.
