First innings win for Nalanda

Two fighting half centuries from skipper Dinuka Jayasinghe (84) and Primesh Dassanayake (66) helped Nalanda College take first innings honours over Wesley College in their inter-school under 19 cricket tournament match which concluded at Campbell Park yesterday.

Wesley: 172 and 234 (V. Kankanamthantri 63, A. Fonseka 63, D. Wijesinghe 46, S. Tennekoon 4 for 24, K. Danushka 2 for 20).

Nalanda: 286 (P. Wickremasinghe 34, D. Jayasinghe 84, P. Dassanayake 66, S. Tennekoon 20, S. Jayawardena 5 for 74, D. Wijesinghe 3 for 48).
