Ruwantha joins 100 Club

CRICKET: Nineteen-year-old Ruwantha Prasad Kellepotha of St. Thomas'
College, Matale became the first cricketer from the Central Province and
from the outstation schools to capture 100 wickets this season when he
reached this milestone in their match against Trinity College 'A' played
last week.
Ruwantha is a right-arm leg spinner who has now captured 103 wickets
at a cost of 1,471 runs at an average of 14.5 runs per wicket.
He is a vicious turner of the ball and on his day, he could be deadly
and unplayable. He has been the mainstay of his side's attack and
carried the brunt of the attack. He has been very consistent in getting
wickets and took 10 for 129 vs Devapathiraja Maha Vidyalaya, Ratgama. He
has also captured 9 wickets hauls in a match on three occasions.
