Aviva NDB 'Wealth Planners' to meet needs of customers

AVIVA NDB Insurance (earlier known as Eagle Insurance), has transformed its nearly 3000-strong sales, force into `Wealth Planners, who are strengthened by global Aviva's expertise in insurance and the financial acumen of NDB Group.

Now known as the `Team you can trust' the Wealth Planners are trained and well-equipped to meet both Life and General insurance needs of customers.

This will empower AVIVA NDB's sales personnel with skills to handle the entire spectrum of insurance solutions an individual is likely to require.

The newly transformed `Wealth Planners'armed with world class training and guidance, building on the investments the Company has made over the decades to professionalise the sales force.

Managing Director of AVIVA NDB Insurance, Shah Rouf explained: `Our Wealth Planners' are a new category in the industry and will be competent to offer the best possible advice and solutions to satisfy most financial needs of clients.

Their skills will not be necessarily limited to Life and General insurance and will extend to solutions that build and protect wealth, also leveraging on the financial product range of NDB.

Most importantly, now, our customers can have the advantage of a single Wealth Planner providing whatever insurance solutions they need.

The company will soon start equipping AVIVA NDB Wealth Planners with laptops.

This initiative will keep them abreast of advancing technology to serve customers more efficiently and effectively as an integral part of the Company's transformation.

The laptops will enable the Wealth Planners to instantly design the financial solution that meets the unique needs of a customer.

The repositioning of the agency force as `Wealth Planners' was strengthened by the MOU signed last year with the University of Wayamba for a certificate level qualification in Personal Financial Management.

Upul Wijesinghe, Director Life Distribution said: `This tie up with the university has created an opportunity for career development where our `Wealth Planners' would have the opportunity to further progress by acquiring academic qualifications, laying the foundation for a professionally competent sales force driving the Company's sustainable performance.

This also seeks to ensure that the sales force designing financial solutions for our clients are equipped to provide world class professional financial advice". All Wealth Planners are regularly trained at the Company's Centre for Excellence, the first in-house training facility outside UK to be recognised by CIM-UK. Here the training they receive is modelled on international best practices infusing them with professionalism, integrity and dedication to customer care.
