Merlock is a Thrash/ Power Metal act based
in Sri Lanka formed in the latter part of 2005. The band was a part of
'Rock Company' which is the most prominent organization for rock and
metal bands in the country. Merlock addresses themes of human nature
emphasizing the darker side of humanity.
Just when I thought you were my brother, you betrayed me
Poisoned were your words that made me take you in
And when I reached up to you, you denied, you pushed
 me over
All along you were just taking the ground beneath me
making me fall
You thought I was weak
Thought I'd fall and die
I picked myself, from ashes I will rise
Heed these words, you die
Now this hatred grows more each day
I want to paint your dreams and then tear it away
Trap you in the same web of lies that you left me tangled
Rip your heart out and hold it in front of you to see
Now that I see you for what you are
You don't need to hesitate throw away that mask
When you least expect I'll strike you down
If you beg for mercy I shall show you none
Ill scorch your veins as you did mine
You'll feel a torment of the one you left to die
Quench this hatred in my eye
Your treachery
