 (Not) so sick of love songs...

  He says he is so sick of love
songs...but he is not! He is very fond of love songs and sings love
songs most of the time catching millions of hearts of the young
generation all over the world. No wonder young girls go crazy listening
to his sweet voice and watching his handsome body moving according to
his own dance tracks. He doesn’t stop singing love songs. He writes most
wanted love songs for other world famous singers. He is Ne-Yo (Shaffer
Chimere Smith).
Ne-yo, born on October 18, 1979, is an American pop and R&B singer
and lyricist, record producer, actor, and occasional rapper. Since his
debut, Ne-Yo has had five top ten songs on the Billboard hot 100 as a
lead artiste and two number-one albums on the Billboard 200.
Ne-Yo has also amassed a catalog of chart-topping songs that he has
written for other world famous artistes such as Whitney Huston, Celin
Dion, Beyonce Knowles, Rihana and Enrique Iglesias.
In 2006, he released his debut album, ‘In my own words’, which
contained the US number one hit ‘So sick’. Then in 2007, he released his
sophomore album, ‘Because of you’ which contained the US top three hits
‘Because of you’. In 2008, he released his third album, ‘Year of the
gentleman’, which contained the top 10 hits ‘Closer’, and ‘Miss
independent’.
Thank you all Sri Lankan English radio and television channels for
playing his lovely songs and music videos. His musical creations are so
unique....fortunately still we have not seen any locally made ‘carbon
copies’ of his creations here in Sri Lanka! Ne-Yo is another word for
uniqueness! We need to hear and watch him more!
