A mountain scape
The grassy plane
Open fields
The inclined slopes
A carpet of flowers
Nodding to the wind
The gush of air
Refresh but yet
 The wild weeds
Coarse crude plants
Creeps through
Beautious blooms
Spreading fast
Stealing the moisture
Impeding growth
Beneath the rain
Under many clouds
In rainbow landscape
Flowers struggle
Weep to the sun
As weeds attack
Disfigure beauty
To hide its colour
Disrupting rhythm
As nature remains

 Dark around you and me......
But, you are the light
to me......
When I come from overseas,
you should wait there,

 Saw I...... a tree
Bare......
No leaves...... no nuts
Seemingly
Just the branches and the trunk
There were no more birds

We wonder! whether king Dutugemunu is reborn
Because, such a courage you have shown
Against the terrorism which had grown
Throughout North and East for three decades bygone
 As a President of Sri Lanka you are second to none
When comparing the great service you have done
With the leaders of the countries in the Asian Zone
You are the only among them, to crown
"Mawilaru" not only the starting point of war
But also, the first iron door
To open by the forces three years ago
And reached the goal at "Pudumathalan" without
leaving a trace of sterrorism anymore
The cruel terrorism is completely defeated
And the word "Tamil Ealam" is permanently deleted
National Unity, Peace and Harmony are recreated
This is what, we all eagerly anticipated
You are the only splendid President of ours
We praise the utmost talents of yours
What a vast difference
Now we see in this country, with full of reliance
You! Late Honourable D. A. Rajapaksa's gifted son
Has proved yourself a bravest one
So, we consider you as our noble leader
For redeeming the soil North and East, using your
extreme power
Reputed name "Mahinda Rajapaksa"

The sun is in the eastern sky
Doves roam among the foliage freely
My son has no restrictions to play
The Land thrives peacefully
Heroes become traitors
Claim victory as theirs
Blind in wrong side at all times
Has a freedom to vomit worldly pledges
For a reliable change
 Remember, it is not the victory
Of an individual
But of the entire Nation
Gained under the clear cut Leadership
We boast our proud unseen past
But fail to see the recent past
That naked eye witnessed
Can you forget?
Round the clock explosions in the past
No one can, but a traitor
To avoid the curse of our beloved
Let's rally around our True Leader of the Land
To strengthen his hand
To turn the turbine of the victorious Land.
