 Some day in last May, my mobile was ringing and ringing. But no reply
when answered. I was annoyed of this nonsense. 'Who the hell are you?" I
asked "I am a guy" you replied. So you kept on calling and testing me.
Ya! I was kidding you at first. But rather unknowingly my mind
started to love you and sure you did the same. So we met one Sunday
evening. and started our relationship. A world of ours but you were
TAMIL and I, SINHALA. I was reluctant even to think about the aftermath.
But what to do? Love was stronger than race. We had joy, we had fun
and we had love in leaps and bounds.
But today.....! Today everything has shattered. You have dragged the
sweet memories and dreams you kept in my heart. Ya I know, we had
arguments. That's because both of us expected the best from the other.
Why Resh? Why do you refuse me? Is it racism? Or is it suspicion? No
reason yet. You went off. Even without a single goodbye. It's hard dear.
Really hard. Two months have passed. Your words still haunt me passing
the places we met, I search for you among the strangers. Your lovely
smile. I wanted to make it mine. Still I'm looking at my phone screen to
