Elcardo turns 25

In the early 1980's, Managing Director of Elcardo Industries, a young Athula Rohan Weeraratne research ed how he could introduce locally made industrial items to the local market and manufactured the first 'Crash Bar' for automobile jeeps.

He moved on to produce mild steel and stainless steel exhaust lines and exhaust line accessories for all type of autos.

Elcardo was the pioneer manufacturing exhaust lines and accessories out of stainless steel.

In 1985 Elcardo was legally registered as a business entity and became popular among automobile users throughout the island.

In 1995 Elcardo launched into the new area of bringing down automobile accessories (specially made for 4 wheel driven luxury vehicles) from abroad.

Elcardo imported the best quality products as hood racks, side steps, fender flares, weather guards, body cladding, crystal lights, sport bars, canopies for D/cab and single cabs and accessories for Toyota and Mitsubishi vehicles from world renowned companies.

In 1997 Elcardo Industries (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated under the companies act no.17 of 1982 and in 2008 was accredited with ISO 9001-2000 SGS Certificate in honour of the high quality services rendered to the Sri Lankan Industrial sector.

Elcardo is the agent in Sri Lanka for Steel Line, B & D Australia, Sumitomo Japan, An jinn Taiwan, Victech Taiwan, Uncle Unity Coon Taiwan, Sysco Taiwan, Bend Pack U.S.A., Shoa Trading Taiwan, Winbo Taiwan.

Elcardo Industries (Pvt) Ltd provides services in manufacturing, supplying and fixing of zinc alum powder coated roller doors, zinc coated and colour bonded roller shutters, swing gates, sliding gates; manufacturing and supplying of galvanized and black iron "C" purling, colour bonded and non colour zinc alum roofing sheets.

Elcardo also supplies automobile accessories for all types of 4 wheel vehicles and are specialists in fabricating, supplying and fixing of exhaust line and exhaust accessories for all types of automobiles generators and machines.

Elcardo has come a long way to achieve its present status in business, with a highly equipped factory at Ratmalana industrial zone and several showrooms with workshops at Nawala, Delkanda, Nugegoda, Galle Road, Ratmalana and William Gopallawa Mawatha, Kandy.
