Gingerly-Tha of Branch-Korala fame is the latest newcomer to the Elephant Party's long list of candidates for the post that is deputy leader. Sun Kind-Leader, Kind-Siri, Doc Jay Jay and Ga-Yanta are among the front runners.

Saa-jeet overjoyed

Saa-Jeet, the Love-Slave has stepped up his campaign for party leadership after the reforms committee suggested that all top posts should be filled by election. He has teamed up with three other confidants and plans to launch a countrywide campaign within the next few weeks.

Soome embarrassed

Soome the One-sa came was in high sprits at a party that was deep-low-matic hosted by the mission that belongs to Uncle Sam's country. "Hey, we never thought that you would patronise this type of events. You people preach an anti-West theory but you seem to be practising another," one of his old pals told Soo-me.

Lady's parasol

There was a slight drizzle when Lovely-Jayantha addressed the deep-low-matic function to celebrate the day that is for Uncle Sam's country. Then came the top lady of the mission with a huge parasol. It was a pleasant sight to see the lady holding the umbrella for Lovely-Jayantha.
