Long live 'Montage'
The Sunday Observer is the only local English weekly to devote a
separate section for arts and culture. Unlike its competitors Montage
has been able to carry indepth analyses of literary works, drama and
cinema.
Montage has attracted a prominent panel of writers from here and
abroad. The reader response is positive to their contributions.
While maintaining its critical stance Montage serialised the English
translation of Sumithra Rahubadde's "Iti Pahan". It is now serialising
the English version of Kathleen Jayewardene's Sinhala novel "Agni
Chakra".
Ranga Chandrarathne and Indeewara Thilakarathne deserve a pat on
their back for taking the initiative to launch Montage and to keep it
going without a break.
