Afghanistan set Scotland 546 to win
CRICKET: AYR, Scotland, Aug 13 (AFP) - Afghanistan set Scotland a
mammoth 546 runs to win their ICC Inter-Continental Cup clash on Friday
with just one day remaining.
Afghanistan declared their second innings on 249 for five, with
Mohammad Shahzad unbeaten on 105. At stumps, Scotland, were 95 for two.
Fraser Watts could only score eight before being bowled out by Hamid
Hassan before Ryan Flannigan was bowled for 32 by off-spinner Mohammad
Nabi.
However, Ewan Chalmers ended the day unbeaten on 37 after striking
eight fours while Richie Berrington was five not out.
