Toyota Lanka to buy Glucorasa land

Two hundred and eight perches of land belonging to Uswatte Confectionery Works Ltd (UCWL) better known as the House of Glucorasa will be sold to Toyota Lanka shortly.

Managing Director UCWL, Quintus Perera said that the negotiations with Toyota Lanka for the sale of the premises is finalised and they have no intention of deviating from this decision.

He said that the factory had already been shifted to Gorakapitiya in Piliyandala and had started manufacturing instant drinks and the famous Uswatte peppermint. He said that by the end of this month they will manufacture all items including jujubes, snacks as well as other items all amounting to some 60 products.
