Sunday OBSERVER in entertainment forefront:
Exclusive performance
By Mahes PERERA
Music lovers from teenagers to grannies will be dancing to the
appealing rhythms of the Fab Beatles when the group will be in concert
on September 18 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre. This
fantastic performance by UK's No. 1 Beatles Tribute Band will be
presented by Mystere Entertainment Lanka in collaboration with Sunday
Observer in the entertainment forefront.
The music of the Beatles despite the passage of time will always be
popular. The advent of hip hop and rap in the music scene has not in any
way affected its worldwide appeal. In fact the Beatles music is so
enduring to a wide range of ages, backgrounds and tastes.
The Fab Beatles perform this unforgettable music with great
authenticity, professionalism and style. The songs speak for themselves
and their style in delivery is like one hit and slice of history, after
another.
Unlike other acts, The Fab Beatles use no other musicians or backing
tracks machines during their shows.
Every instrument is played completely 'live' by The Fab Beatles. This
ensures a pure and accurate re-creation. The group comprises Kev Day as
John Lennon playing guitar, piano, harmonica and vocals. Andy Southard
plays bass and sings and is the Paul McCartney in the group. Steve
Hemming is the George Harrison who plays a neat guitar and sings 'Roll
Over Beethoven' just like Harrison did. And finally there is Pete Isbell
who is the Ringo Starr of the group keeping tight rhythm on the drums
and joins in the singing as well.
The Fab Beatles are widely regarded as the best 'Sounding and
Looking' Beatles Tribute Band in the UK. Based in southern England and
formed in 1991 by four complete 'Beatle' maniacs and turning
professional in 1998 they have risen through sheer hard work and
dedication to become one of the most sought after tribute acts in the
country.
Mark the date September 18 in your calendar and give yourself the
treat of enjoying unbeatable entertainment by The Fab Beatles when they
perform the music of your favourite Beatles in an exclusive one night
performance - a performance you'd be happy you witnessed.
