Melizan House - St. Bridget's swimming champs

SWIMMING: Melizan House emerged champions at the 45th annual inter-house swimming meet of St. Bridget's Convent, Colombo 7 worked off at SSC pool recently.

Swimmers from Melizan House showed their supremacy in most of the events to push Birgia House to second place, followed by Griaux House and Coudert House.

Former Sri Lanka boxing chief and Vice President of the NOC Dian Gomes was the chief guest, along with his wife Dehara Gomes. Azira Esufally, one of the most outstanding former Bridgeteen swimmers, was the guest of honour.

The meet was organised by Teacher-in-charge Rashika Ranasinghe under the supervision of Overall officer-in-charge Menik Samaratunga and Jeevani Gunawardena and Prefect-of-Games Rev. Sr. Dilrukshika Silva.

St. Bridget's Convent swimming team is coached by veteran David Bolling, assisted by Prasanna Dangalle and Prasad Janaka.
