Lyceum International Nugegoda - under 17 basketball champs

BASKETBALL: Lyceum International School, Nugegoda emerged unbeaten champions in the Inter-International Schools under 17 Basketball Tournament.

Lyceum International beat Gateway College, Colombo by 73 points to 49 in the final. In the run-up to the final, Lyceum beat Colombo International School, Kandy in a close game by 37 points to 36 and in the quarter-final.

Lyceum International beat British School Colombo by 55 points to 23. There were 16 International Schools that participated in the tournament.

Two Lyceum International players - Franco Jayasuriya and Rahul Samarakoon were picked as the Most Outstanding Player of tournament and Best Offensive Player.
