Facelift for schools in EP
The Eastern Provincial Council has allocated Rs. 7500 million to
improve the education sector in the province
A sum of Rs. 6,500 million has been earmarked to implement
development projects in 113 schools which were selected jointly with the
Central Government.
Meanwhile Rs. 11.2 million has been allocated to improve Information
Technology in 157 schools in the province.
Seven million rupees have been earmarked to set up libraries and
laboratories in schools in the province.
One million rupees will be expended to improve the sports sector in
the province to help youth in the province to excel at national level
and one million rupees will be spent to buy musical instruments for the
schools in the province.
Seventy million rupees have been allocated to renovate damaged
schools and Rs. 140 million will be spent to construct new schools.
