TT: Three former table tennistars - Lalith Priyantha, Jagath
Rajapakse and D. Doering won the finals each in the all-Island Table
Tennis Tournaments conducted by the Veterans Table Tennis Association.In
the men’s over 49 tournament, the champion was Jagath Rajapakse and then
he teamed up with Lalith Priyantha and won the men’s over 40 doubles.
Then Lalith Priyantha teamed up with Ira Ruwanpathirana and won the
Mixed Doubles. D. Doering - the over 50 men’s champion teamed up with
Rajiv Wijetunge and the pair won the over 50 doubles event.
The over 60 men’s champion was M. M. M. Lefeer.The women’s over 40
champion was Nilmini Swarnakanthi and women’s over 50 champion was Daya
Pieris.
