developments and infrastructure laid out by the Government to improve
the country's health sector. Western Province Health Minister Jagath
Angage said that visitors to the exhibition will also be educated on the
state-of-the-art healthcare technology, proper disease prevention
methods, effective treatment methods, the best services available in
hospitals and laboratories in the country.
Visitors could view sophisticated medical equipment and
pharmaceuticals at the exhibition. Parallel to the exhibition, seminars
for professionals in the field of medicine and general public and
especially for schoolchildren will also be conducted. The Minister said
that the public need to be aware of the latest facilities available to
help them in their ailments as they think that hospitals still use
age-old treatments without updating them.
