Mobile technology to settle claims

Union Assurance PLC (UA) has introduced technology to provide convenience to its customers by facilitating life insurance claim payments from any Commercial Bank branch.

General Manager - Life Jayaseeli Dissanayake said "We started 2011 with the launching of a trilingual web site, the first in the insurance industry, in order to be transparent. With the launch of this innovative claim settlement process we will strengthen our brand further."

"We commenced this with our motor insurance claims and due to its success we extended it to our life policy holders to expedite their payments.

Life customers who claim their policy monies at maturity or make a claim on any living benefit offered under a life insurance policy can get their claim money from any Commercial Bank branch," said Dissanayake.
