'Great India Education Fair', a boon for Lankan students

Inaugurating the two-day 'Great India Education Fair' at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre, High Commissioner of India in Colombo Ashok K. Kantha said that the Education Fair would provide a wide choice of quality education in India at an affordable cost for Sri Lankan students.

The grand fair held yesterday and today under the auspices of the Indian High Commission, the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) and the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau showcases some of India's most reputed, new-age residential schools, legendary colleges and universities offering access to authorities and providing the rare and unprecedented opportunity of 'spot admissions' to any of the numerous premier Indian educational institutions following authentic information and spot counselling, all under one roof.

Institutions from across India are participating in the exhibition which would provide visiting students and parents the opportunity to gain expert opinion, career guidance and comparative insights about current global education trends and opportunities, through a wide range of informative and interactive seminars specially organised for them, Sanjeev Bolia, Managing Director of the Affairs Exhibitions and Media (Pvt.) Ltd, the organisers said.
