Colts ladies stum Navy

Colts Cricket Club Ladies stunned the defending womens inter club champions star studded Navy Sports Club 'A' to a scoreless draw on the opening day of the Peoples Bank Super Sevens Hockey Championship organised by Seetha Devi Balika Vidyalaya for the 18th time which began at the Asgiri Stadium, Kandy yesterday.

Earlier Navy 'A' women Stickers scored a big 5-0 win over Devians SC Kandy with centre forward Chathurika Wijesuriya scoring a hat-trick while Ruwini Dharmaratne and Devmini Dissanayake scored a goal each.

The Chief Minister of the Central Province Sarath Ekanayake was the chief guest at the opening ceremony yesterday.

The four finals will be worked off simultaniously today at 4.00 p.m.

Boys Schools - St. Peter's College, Bambalapitiya surprised the strong Zahira College, Matale by holding them to a scoreless draw.
