Ian Tait and Sonia Boyle - the top performers

GOLF: Englishman Ian Tait (Men's Gross) and Sonia Boyle from Old Blighty (Ladies Gross) stole the show at the monthly medal golf championship for March organised by the Victoria Golf and Country Resort and worked off at the Victoria golf course at Rajawella off Kandy. It turned out to be a beautiful day at Victoria with the golf course turning out to be challenging, the golfers revelled in the prevailing conditions to come up with good scores.

Dharmapala topple Mahamaya

CRICKET: Dharmapala College, Weldambala in Kandy District beat the better fancied Mahamaya Girls College, Kandy by five runs in the final of the ten overs per side softball cricket tournament match. The tournament was organised by the Education Department, Kandy.

Dharmapala girls batting first made 51 runs in ten overs and Mahamaya were out for 46 in 8.4 overs.
