Practise and play on firm pitches here and be prepared - Dion J.
Walles
CRICKET: A cricketing great of the past-former Peterite cricket
captain Dion J. Walles was quite a troubled fan while following the
course of Sri Lanka's Test match with England the other day.
He says that Sri Lanka got what they deserved against England in the
First Test - nothing!
"Of course, Sri Lanka beat most countries when the matches are played
in Sri Lanka, because the pitches are prepared to help spinners.
Therefore, when they go abroad and play on true, fast pitches, they are
unable to cope with the speed and bounce, as they seldom, if at all,
practise on such pitches."
Dion J. Walles, adds: "If you want peace, prepare for WAR." Likewise,
if you want victory, then prepare, practise and play on firm, fast
pitches!"
