Amy and the shiny new ball

There was a little girl called Amy. She was very rude and naughty. So, no one liked her and this made her very angry.

One day Amy went out to play with her new shiny blue ball. “Oh, how beautiful that ball is Amy. May I play with you too?” asked Tilini, the girl next door. “Most certainly not! You may not! No, No, No, No! screamed Amy, very rudely. “Oh, Okay, that’s fine. I understand how you might feel about sharing such a nice ball with me,” said Tilini, very hurt.

Now, an elf hiding behind a tree near Amy’s house saw everything that happened. The elf felt very sorry for Tilini, so she disguised herself as a very rich and beautiful girl and went out to the road.

Amy saw her and wanted to make the strange girl her friend. “Excuse me, would you care to play with me?” asked Amy.

“Most certainly not. I shall not! No! No! No! No!” replied the girl.

“How rude”, thought Amy. Just then she realised that it was exactly how she treated Tilini and felt very guilty and sad about what she did. Amy went to Tilini’s house and knocked on the door.

Tilini came out quietly. “Tilini, you can come and play with me if you want to. I’m very sorry, for being so rude to you. Will you be my friend?”, asked Amy, handing the ball to Tilini. “Of course, I will. You may be rough around the edges, but we can work them out, Amy.” said Tilini heading out to play. They were best of friends from that day on.
