Big awards at Etisalat Golf Classic

GOLF: The Second Annual Etisalat Golf Classic will once again offer a tantalising package for the winners of the men's and Ladies categories with an all paid package to Abu Dhabi accompanied by somebody dear to the winner.

This entitlement is only for winners of the Etisalat elite club who obtains the highest stableford points.

At a press briefing held at the Royal Colombo Golf Club the CEO of Etisalat Lanka Pvt Ltd, Dumindra Ratnayake, said that Etisalat is synonymous with sport and the relationship between RCGC and Etisalat has spanned over a decade even during the Celtell, Tigo days.

The winners of the men's event will get the opportunity to play three rounds of golf in the exotic Abu Dhabi Golf Course and will also have the privilege of witnessing the Abu Dhabi Open International Tournament.

The winner of the Ladies event will be presented with a business class return air ticket to Dubai together with another.

The tournament will be conducted in five divisions A,B,C, Maters and Seniors. The Ladies will compete in the silver and bronze divisions.

Sanjiv Vairavanathan, captain of RCGC said that the Etisalat elite club and the RCGC have come together once again to conduct this much sought after tournament played over two days. He further said that the tournament has contributed to the development of the game in a bigger and better way and concluded saying that Etisalat is committed to develop the sport which could be played at any age.

Priath Fernando Vice, Captain RCGC, Riyaaz Rasheed Deputy CEO Etisalat and Susantha Pinto, Chairman Infotec (Pvt) Ltd. were also present.
