'Tug-O-War' at National Youth Sports Festival

New Event: "Tug-O-War" will be a new event to be worked off at the 23rd National Youth Sports Festival to be held next month at the Uyanwatte Esplanade, Matara. This event will be held on August 6 and 7 at the Sri Lanka Youth Sports Ground at Maharagama.

The Olympic Games will have "Tug-O-War" event in future Games, so we decided to include it in our National Youth Sports Festival programme too" Director General of the National Youth Sports Council - Lalith Piuam Perera told the Sunday Observer. All the provinces including the North and East will be seen in action making it a total of 24 teams, both for men and women.
