IFS, one of the world's largest software vendors - ARC Advisory

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, has been identified as one of the world's major vendors within three different Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) fields by ARC Advisory Group.

The report places IFS as the single largest vendor within aerospace and defences, the second largest within the oil and gas industry and the third within power generation. The combined rankings make IFS the third largest EAM software vendor globally.

The ARC Advisory Group is the leading information technology research and advisory firm for industry and infrastructure. In its new publication "Enterprise Asset Management and Field Service Management, Five Year Market Analysis and Technology Forecast through 2015," ARC Advisory Group indicates that IFS Applications holds a dominant market share in terms of EAM software in many asset and maintenance-intensive industries. "Some consider EAM a mature technology, but today's dynamic market forces demand operational excellence and high return on assets. This drives the need for a modern EAM system - particularly for the asset intensive industries," ARC Advisory Group Research Director Ralph Rio said. They want to move beyond simple maintenance management, and towards the ability to make asset data more interactive with the rest of the enterprise.
