Junior Inventor of 2011

The final round of the Junior Inventor of the Year 2011 competition, organised by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), will be held at the Wimalasurendra Auditorium of the Institution at 120/15, Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo 7 from 9.00 a.m. today.

An unprecedented number of schoolchildren representing grades 6-13 from all over the island, are vying for the most coveted 'Junior Inventor of the Year 2011' award and other awards on the fray at this competition.

The most outstanding inventors at this event would get the opportunity of participating in the international arena at the INTEL ISEF to be held in the USA where local student prodigies have already etched their names and even had the rare honour of a newly discovered planet being named after one of them.
