In an interview with the Sunday Observer Sumudu Rukshan, a young social worker who is contesting the Kotikawatta - Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha election said that his priorities will be to improve the living conditions of the people in the area - upgrading infrastructure facilities such as roads, water and the electricity supplies."We have a programme to develop the resources in the Kotikawatta - Mulleriyawa area under the leadership of Kolonnawa SLFP chief organiser, Duminda Silva.

"Some people prefer traditional medicine to western medicine.

I will improve the Aurvedic medical centres and will endeavour to open new Aurvedic centres in the area. "It is my aim to launch a program to train the youth for vocational skills, so that they could be equipped to seek gainful employment", he said.
