CR and FC moves to top berth displacing Kandy

RUGBY: While CR&FC skipper Dushan Lewke remained on top of the players list , his Club shot into the number one spot in the team competition ahead of Kandy at the end of count number 15 in the Sunday Observer/Caltex Most Popular Rugger Player and the Most Popular Rugger Team Competition.

Kandy who were the firm favourites was at the top for many weeks, but CR&FC with a lead of 199 votes ousted Kandy from the number one position. CR&FC received 37,671 votes to Kandy's 36,472.

In the Most Popular Player's competition too, there is a close tussle between Navy's Dev Anand (36,594) and Kandy's Fazil Marija (36,702). Marija at the moment is placed second with a lead of 108 votes.
