Leading the LG Health Plus range of products is the Green Ion Door Cooling Refrigerator designed to keep food fresh longer.

LG's Green Ion Technology uses a ventilation system to deodorise the refrigerator. This, combined with a negative ion generator, kills food-spoiling bacteria and fungi resulting in 5.7 times less fungi after seven days compared to conventional models. LG's "Door Cooling System", for which only LG has an international patent, has vents on the interior door panel as well as the sides of the cabinet which allows cool air to be replinished faster every time the refrigerator is opened and closed. This speeds up the cooling process and shuts off the compressor quicker with savings on electricity.
