Minister of Co-operatives, Internal Trade and Consumer Affairs, Johnston Fernando opened an Elcardo showroom in Kurunegala recently. Elcardo Industries (Pvt) Ltd., stepped into the market in 1985.

In 1995, it imported automobile accessories, specially made for four-wheel luxury Vehicles.

Elcardo brought the range of state-of-the art machinery from technically developed countries to manufacture roller doors.

Elcardo Industries was recently given an award for its creative products at the national development exhibition held recently at the BMICH.
