The Asgiri Maha
Viharaa, Kandy completed 700 years on Vesak Poya 2012. A
series of activities will be launched to celebrate the
historic event. Here the Most Ven. Udugama Sri Dhammadassi
Rathanapala Buddharakkithabhidhana Mahanayake thera of the
Asgiriya Chapter presents the program of activities to Prime
Minister, D.M. Jayaratne.
The latest edition of
‘People’s China’, the official magazine of the Sri Lanka
China Journalists Forum was handed over to the Defence
Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa by the editor of the magazine
Duminda Sanjeewa Balasooriya at a ceremony in Colombo
recently. The President of the Forum Nalin Aponso is also in
the picture.
The foundation stone
was laid recently for the new Badulla playground. Here
