Mobitel launches world’s first 3D Smartphone

Mobitel, the National Mobile Service Provider launched the first 3D smartphone in association with Abans Lanka, sole distributor for LG mobile phones in Sri Lanka. LG Optimus 3D is an innovative smartphone with second-generation dual core technology and an advanced ‘Tri-Dual’ architecture. The first of its kind to be launched in Sri Lanka, Abans together with LG Electronics partnered with Mobitel as the official network provider for the launch.

Being the first in Asia to successfully demonstrate 4G LTE technology, achieving a data rate of 96 Mbps, Mobitel has proved that it has constantly been at the peak of adapting and offering the latest technology, in line with international trends. The partnership between LG Electronics and Mobitel in launching the first 3D mobile phone in Sri Lanka is therefore testimony to the telecom provider’s ability to offer the most advanced technology.
