50 houses in Mannar from People's Bank

Fifty housing units constructed by the People's Bank at Madu Road,
Mannar at a cost of Rs. 60 million will be commissioned today.
These houses were constructed with the help of People's Bank
employees under the guidance of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.These houses
were constructed to improve the living conditions of people affected by
terrorism.
The ceremony will be chaired by Economic Development Minister Basil
Rajapaksa. People's Bank Chairman W. Karunajeewa will be among the
participants. People's Bank granted Rs. 11 million worth of relief items
in 2009 to people victimised by the LTTE.
The People's Bank gave Rs. 26.5 million to President Rajapaksa for
the construction of houses in the North. |
