Nuwan bowls Rajans to an innings win

Right-arm medium pacer Nuwan Karunaratne took a match bag of 12 for
60 to bowl Dharmaraja College to an innings and 40 runs win over Sri
Sumangala College, Panadura in their schools under-19 cricket tournament
match conducted at the Panadura Esplanade yesterday. This is Rajan’s
first win for the season.
Rajans who made 257 in their first innings did well to dismiss their
opponents for 144 with medium pacer Nuwan Karunaratne who could not bowl
much in this innings taking 3 for 8 and left-arm spinner Arvinda
Withanarachchi had figures of 3 for 16.
Rajans with a first innings lead of 113 runs enforced the follow on
with nearly two sessions remaining and their bowlers rose up to the
occasion magnificently to bowl out their opponents for 73 in just 25
overs.
Medium pacer Nuwan Karunaratne bowled with dead accuracy to return
with thexcellent figures of 9 for 52 in 11 overs. Six of his victims
were clean bowled.
The other wicket was captured by left-arm spinner Arvinda
Withanarachchi 1 for 5 which prevented Nuwan Karunaratne taking all ten
wickets in the innings.
Dharmaraja College: 257 all out.
Sri Sumangala College: 23 for 2 overnight continued 144 all out in 67
overs (Aruna Dharmasena 56, Madhawa Fonseka 38, Bharatha Nadeesha 21,
Nuwan Karunaratne 3 for 8, Arvinda Withanarachchi 3 for 16, Lakshan
Silva 2 for 31, Deneth Lanka 2 for 33) and 73 all out in 25 overs (Aruna
Dharmasena 40, Nuwan Karunaratne 9 for 52, Arvinda Withanarachchi 1 for
