AVIVA - NDB presents laptops to policy holders children

AVIVA NDB Insurance has launched a scheme to recognise and reward loyal policy holders. 'AVIVA NDB Rewards for Life's designed to enrich the lives of customers.

AVIVA NDB gifts 100 laptops to children of loyal policy holders

As an initial step the company offered 100 laptops to children of policy holders with policies in force for over five years.

The children should have passed the 'O' Level examination and be under 20 years of age.

The laptops would inspire and help children in their academic and professional pursuits. Applications for the draw close on November 30.

One laptop will be awarded to each winning policy holder. Policy holders with more than one policy stand a higher chance of winning.

The latest figures reveal that Sri Lanka's Internet usage has reached 20.8 per 1,000 persons according to the 2010 Central Bank Annual report.

The Department of Census and Statistics says that over 16 percent are computer literate and over 37 percent are aware about computers.

The picture has changed dramatically in eight years from what it was in 2004, when 90 percent of the population was not aware that Internet existed.

Explaining that more AVIVA NDB Rewards for Life schemes are in the pipeline to benefit customers, especially children.

General Manager, Marketing and Customer Management Amal Perera, said: "Rewarding the loyalty of our customers with something of value that would inspire their children to achieve excellence is our way of demonstrating our appreciation in an innovative way."

Managing Director, Shah Rouf said: "We are pleased to contribute to Sri Lanka's entry into an IT-enabled age. Our reward scheme enriches customer rapport with a gesture that has national relevance while adding significant and lasting value to their lives."
