E-Solutions Lanka turns 10

E-Solutions Lanka, an IT solutions company celebrated 10 years of operations. The company began operations on January 1, 2001, but traces its history to 1997 when it served as the outsourced arm of its Belgian parent company, Redcorp. In 1997, Redcorp recruited three Sri Lankans Nishantha Amarasuriya, Sudesh Jayathunge, and Priyanthi Guruge who have traced their own personal career growth parallel to the growth of the company's Sri Lankan operations.

All three are directors now. When we started in 1997, we recruited them as they were industrious and commited, said partner of Redcorp, Belgium Ronald Reich.

Their initial foray was a success, and their staff count increased to 13, Redcorp began to plan for a more established presence in Sri Lanka. By 2000, the company incorporated its operations as E-Solutions Lanka and received BOI approval, E-Solutions Lanka's service offering was split three ways: database management, web development and software development, with Nishantha, Sudesh and Priyanthi heading the teams.

Over the past decade, E-Solutions Lanka has added more to its service offerings including E-Accounting, E-Marketing to meet the needs of their client base in Belgium, Netherlands, France and UK. "Since our experience was primarily in building and deploying e-commerce platforms for European markets, we wanted to identify and create a similar experience for Sri Lankans.

We identified the real estate market as one such space where our expertise could prove to be very useful. And this eventually led to the creation of Bhoomi (www.bhoomi.lk)", said Ms. Guruge. Since its inception in 2006, Bhoomi has established itself as the de-facto platform for home owners and prospective property buyers to locate the best real estate in Sri Lanka.

E-Solutions Lanka's sister company, Content Management Solutions (Pvt) Ltd., (CMS) was established recently as the company's strategic business unit to meet the rising need from European and USA companies for quality software development and related services. Among its other achievements has been the loyalty it has built among employees. Thirteen employees have completed a decade of service at E-Solutions.
