AmCham gives school material to needy children

The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in partnership with the (RCGC) and the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau presented school material to 123 needy children at a ceremony held at the Royal Colombo Golf Club on Wednesday.

It is customary for part proceeds of the Golf Tournament to be channelled towards a worthy cause. During the past years many deserving charities have received substantial donations through this event. As a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative of AmCham. Scholarships were awarded to two children of the RCGC staff considering their O/L examination results. M. M. K. Kumari and H. W. G. Sanjaya were awarded scholarships to assist them financially to cover fees for an AAT Course.
