The Finance and Seylan Bank launch Visa Debit Card

The memorandum of Understanding being exchanged between Chairman – The Finance Co. PLC Preethi Jayawardena and Executive Director – Seylan Bank PLC R. Nadarajah with the Governor of the Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabraal.

The Finance Company PLC and Seylan Bank PLC launched a debit card.

Governor of the Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabraal was present at the exchanging of the MoU between Chairman of The Finance Company PLC Preethi Jayawardena and Executive Director of Seylan Bank PLC R. Nadarajah with directors of both firms being present.

The agreement was signed by Kapila Ariyaratne, GM /CEO of Seylan Bank PLC and Kamal J. Yatawara Director/CEO of The Finance Company PLC. The partnership between The Finance Co. PLC and Seylan Bank PLC will enable visa debit cards to be issued to The Finance savings account-holders through Seylan Bank.

Customers will now have access to their cash 24 hours a day, through a large number of visa enabled ATM islandwide. The card can be used at many outlets for purchases. The use of debit cards has seen a significant rise in recent times since they offer the convenience of ready cash without any hassle and risk.

A host of value additions and benefits will be made available to cardholders throughout the year. Existing savings account holders and new applicants will be able to apply for their new Visa debit cards from any of the 60 The Finance branches islandwide.
