St.Servatius College determined to go through a successful season

CRICKET: St.Servatius College, Matara is determined to do well in the
2012 inter-school cricket season that will start next month. The
Servatians with a history of 112 years behind them is determined to put
those years into their play to have a successful season.
St.Servatius will be led by wicket-keeper batsman Sanidu Keshawa
Ediriweera in the coming season and he have the able support of
all-rounder Gihan Nimsara as his vice-captain.
What has given confidence to the cricketers at St.Servatius' is the
fact that they have got somewhat of a promotion to play division one
cricket conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association.In their
matches last year, St.Servatius' drew with Dharmaraha, Trinity,
Dharmasoka, Nalanda, Zahira, Sri Sumangala Panadura, Kalutara Vidyalaya
and Mahinda College.
Besides the tournament matches, the St.Servatius cricketers will play
their traditional matches against Mahanama College, Maris Stella
Negombo, St.Sylvester's Kandy, Bandaranaike M.V.Gampaha, Revatha M.V.
Balapitiya, Sri Devananda M.V. Ambalangoda, Rahula College, Matara and
the season ends with the traditional 'Big Clash' against St.Thomas'
Matara - the 112th encounter.
The St.Servatius' team is talented and they have in P.B. Buddhika - a
coach who has got the best out of the boys this season.
