Bandusena’s ‘Purana Himagatha Varuna’ was presented to Prime
Minister, D.M. Jayaratne at his office recently. The book
consists of religious hymns sung by our ancestors while
trekking Sri Pada (Adam’s Peak) in the days of yore. Copies
of the book will be distributed free to devotees during the
current season.

Anganavo launch on Friday
Sasobana Anganavo, a
Padmakumara creation by Samanmalee Padmakumara will be
launched at the International Buddhist Centre, Wellawatte on
December 30 at 4.30 p.m.
It is a piece of her imaginative writings on various themes
as she says “like most of the children I too remember that I
recited them during my early childhood. Later my poetic
talents got refined at the school.” The author wishes us to
read them as it provide strength and inspiration to her
literary career.
