Carey in first innings win over Moratu Vidyalaya

Carey College, Colombo gained a 27 run first innings win over
formidable Moratu Vidyalaya in their inter-school under-19 cricket match
worked off at Railway Grounds, Colombo.
Resuming at 217 for 8 Carey piled up 258 runs with Shehan Nanayakkara
making the top score of 47 runs. Madava Madushanka claimed 3 for 41.
In reply Vidyalians were all out for 231 runs with Ishan Peiris
missing a well deserved century by four runs. He has thirteen fours and
two sixes and faced 98 balls and occupied the crease for 129 minutes.
Dushan Sulakshana was unbeaten on 51 runs and Shehan Nanayakkara bagged
5 for 37.
When stumps were drawn Carey were 128 for 4 with Sajeeva Karunaratne
making 46 runs.
