Navy SC struggling at 32 for 3

Sri Lanka Navy SC, in reply to Sri Lanka Army's healthy first innings total of 352 for 7 declared, were struggling at 32 for 3 at close on the second day of their Sri Lanka Cricket Inter-Club Premier League Tier 'B' match continued at Panagoda yesterday.

The match will be continued at 10 a.m. today.

Sri Lanka Army SC: 352 for 7 decl. (Sulan Jayawardene 47, Mohammed Feshal 57, Manjula de Zoysa 72, Asela Gunaratne 65, Chaminda Prasad 44, Buddhika de Alwis 4 for 96).

Sri Lanka Navy SC: 32 for 3 at close (Seekkuge Prasanna 3 for 10).

Police well placed

Police Sports Club is set for a good first innings win over Sri Lanka Air Force SC after the second day's play of their Sri Lanka Cricket Inter-Club Premier League Tier 'B' match continued at Police Park yesterday.

In reply to the home team's 298 all out, the airmen were struggling at 208 for 9 on day two. The hosts were reeling at 131 for 7 at one stage but a great fighting century by No. 9 bat Prasad Kallepotha helped them to recover. He was unbeaten on 100, having struck 14 fours during his 140-ball innings.

The match will be continued at 10 a.m. today.

Police SC: 298 all out (Mahinda Abeyratne 66, Dhammika Rajapakse 30, Prasad Kallepotha 100 n.o, Buddhika Sanjeewa 32, Sameera Vithana 4 for 71, Akila Isanka 5 for 83).

Air Force SC: 208 for 9 at close (Angelo Emmanuel 87, Matheesha Perera 3 for 25).

Saracens lead by 297 runs

Saracens Sports Club, having gained first innings points, extended their lead to 297 runs with five second innings wickets in hand after the second day of their Sri Lanka Cricket Inter-Club Premier League Tier 'B' match against Panadura Sports Club continued at Panadura yesterday.

The match will be continued at 10 a.m. today.

Saracens SC: 204 all out (Heshan de Silva 38, Amila Mendis 46, Chamara de Soysa 3 for 24) and 251 for 5 at close (Rukshan Weerasinghe 38, Gamindu Kanishka 92 n.o, Nuwan Kavinda 61, Nilantha Cooray 3 for 72).

Panadura SC: 158 all out (Udara Theekshana 62, Chanaka Ranaweera 5 for 37).

KYCC extend lead to 90

Kurunegala Youth CC, having gained a close first innings points, extended their lead to 90 runs with nine second innings wickets intact after the second day's play of their Sri Lanka Cricket Inter-Club Premier League Tier 'B' match against Sri Lanka Ports Authority SC continued Kurunegala at yesterday.

The match will be continued at 10 a.m. today.

Kurunegala YCC: 270 all out (Sajith Kelumpriya 93, Chamikara Edirisinghe 38, Ajith Ekanayake 31, Ranesh Perera 2 for 41, Sanjaya Fernando 2 for 55, Shanuka Dissanayake 2 for 45, Romesh Kaluarachchi 2 for 35, Charith Jayaweera 2 for 65) and 52 for one at close (Gayan Maneshan 30 n.o).

Sri Lanka Ports Authority SC: 232 all out (Hashan Gunethilleke 102, Shanuka Dissanayake 67, Darshana Mahawatte 4 for 26, Chamikara Edirisinghe 3 for 67).

Chilaw Marians strongly placed

Chi law Marians, in reply to Baduraliya Cricket Club's first innings total of 186 all out, were strongly placed at 111 for 3 at close on the second day of their Sri Lanka Cricket Inter-Club Premier League Tier 'A' match continued at Maggona yesterday.

The match will be continued at 10 a.m. today.

Baduraliya CC: 186 all out (Malinga Maligaspe 35, Alankara Asanka Silva 50, Roshan Laksiri 29, Malinda Pushpakumara 4 for 48, Gayan Wijekoon 3 for 18).

CCC victorious

CCC pulled off an exciting first innings win over BRC on the second day of their Sri Lanka Cricket Inter-Club Premier League Tier 'B' match continued at Havelock Park yesterday.

CCC: 248 all out (Saman Jayantha 41, Sujith Nikethenne 33, Maduka Liyanapathiranage 60, Pradeep Jayaprakashdaran 38, Safraz Farook 2 for 59, Marlan Madusanka 2 for 29, Gihan Dilruk 2 for 10) and 45 for 2 at close.

BRC: 229 all out (Andy Solomans 41, Nimesh Perera Jr. 75, Dellon Udugamasuriya 35, Gihan Dilruk 33, Maduka Liyanapathiranage 4 for 44).
