Wesley fight-back to gain honours

Wesley College, Colombo who were struggling at 104 for 8 in reply to
St. Sebastians College score of 201 on day one bounced back to score 249
runs and gained a first innings win in their inter school under 19
cricket match worked off at Moratuwa.
Weslyites commenced the day two with a deficit of 97 runs added 145
runs and passed the Sebs total of 201 with Migara Wickramarathne 73 with
nine fours and one six and Basith Musamil 68 runs with six fours being
associated in a ninth wicket partnership of 138 runs (former Sebs
skipper Samitha de Mel had a fine spell of 5 for 69 while skipper Amila
Aponso took his tally to 92 wickets for the season with 4 for 79.
In their second essay Sebs occupied the crease until the stumps were
drawn and they were 221 for 6 with Anushka Perera 80 runs with twelve
fours and Luke Jayadeva 64 with nine fours and two towering sixes and
they put on 121 runs for the second wicket. Basith Musamil captured 4
for 28 for the visitors.
