Wallem Shipmanagement SMS Orientation in Colombo
The SMS orientation course was conducted by Director of Wallem
Maritime Training Centre – India,Capt Srirang Manjeshwar. Wallem
Shipmanagement Ltd is represented by Wallem Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, which is a
joint venture between Wallem and Company in Hong Kong and Dev
Engineering (Pvt) Ltd in Sri Lanka.
The program enhances knowledge and understanding about Company Safety
Management System (SMS) and the relevant Codes and Conventions as
amended. It is also to motivate participants to apply this knowledge
with their competency and to change their behaviour, attitude and
approach to safe management practices, in day-to-day shipboard
operations. This was a pilot course. Subsequent training will be
in-house training.
