Sadeera Samarawickrema and Ruwan Bandara take top spots in Most Popualr Contests

Sunday Observer-Mobitel Awards: Josephian Sadeera Samarawickrema and Ruwan Bandara of Vidyartha, Kandy took the top spot in the All Island and Outstation Contest respectively in the Sunday Observer/Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year Contest at the end of count Number 13.

Ashan Wanigaratne of Thurstan who was placed first last week was pushed down to number three position by Samarawickrema while Thurstan’s Sajeeva Salgado is placed second with a majority of 95 votes. In the Outstation contest Vidyartha’s Ruwan Bandara (27,103) was placed first with a slender majority of 59 votes over Kavindu Ashan (27,044) of Royal, Panadura.
