Piramal Glass Ceylon sets up Rs. 25m effluent plant

Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC (PGC) inaugurated its new high capacity Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) under the patronage of the Deputy High Commissioner of India in Sri Lanka, P. Kumaran and MP Vidura Wikramanayake along with CEO and Managing Director of Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC, Sanjay Tiwari in the presence of Ranjith Fernando and Dr Bandula Perera, both Directors of Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC, and senior officials of the BOI, CEA, Pradeshiya Sabha, Divisional Secretariat and other guests.

The ETP plant ensures the preservation of water by recycling, whilst ensuring that the water let out to the environment does not harm the environment and the surrounding community.

The company has spent over Rs 25 million on this project.
