Ranmihitanne tele village enters second phase

The second phase of the Ranmihitanne tele village will be launched next month, said Mass Media and Information Secretary W.B. Ganegala.

Ranmihitanne in Hambantota is a popular tele village for local and foreign film and tele drama producers.

Over 12 tele dramas and films have been filmed at the Ranmihitanne TV village. Kusa Paba a popular film was also filmed there, the secretary said.

He said that some temporary settings will be removed in the second phase of the project.

A tele village has permanent constructions and temporary settings, he said. A modern film studio will also be built at the tele village under the second phase, the Secretary said.
